We get asked a lot of questions about our services at Seymour Kitchens, so we thought we’d clear up a few of those most commonly asked questions below. Where are your kitchens manufactured?
We make our in-frame kitchens in our Guildford workshop.
Do you charge for your design service?
Our initial consultation is free, so you can get a feel for our proposed design and estimate. If you would like to purchase the design (including a plan, 3D visuals and a list of suggested appliances) we charge £250, which is deductible from any future order.
Which areas do you work in?
We work within a 15 mile radius of Guildford.
What things do you manufacture in your workshop?
Our workshop is primarily used for manufacturing in-frame kitchens, however we also make our bedroom and office furniture in-house, as well as any timber worktops or bespoke elements of a kitchen.
Can I see what my kitchen will look like prior to fitting?
Yes, Seymour Kitchens uses advanced technology to provide photo-quality kitchen designs in 3D to our clients. These designs can be adapted at the click of a button until there is full customer satisfaction with the kitchen plan. Please find out more about this planner here.
How quickly can my new kitchen be installed?
We generally advise a 12 week lead time for new orders, but it’s never too early to start planning your new kitchen. Lead times can vary depending on current demand.
How much do your kitchens cost?
Our kitchens generally start at £20,000 for a lay-on shaker style or modern kitchen, and £30,000 for an in-frame kitchen. This price includes cabinetry, hardware, installation and worksurfaces.
How long will a kitchen installation take to fit?
This depends on the size and scope of the project. Usually an installation takes 3-4 weeks, but this can increase for example if the kitchen is to be hand-painted or it is a particularly large space.
Are your bespoke kitchens fully custom made or are there any constraints I need to consider?
Every kitchen we manufacture is made to order, we don’t have stock cabinetry. The furniture is truly bespoke, with very few limitations. Read on to discover the benefits of a bespoke kitchen.
Can we pick our own cabinet paint colours?
For our bespoke kitchens you can choose any colour from Farrow & Ball or Little Greene Co. Need help choosing the best colour for your kitchen – read our handy guide.
Which appliances do you sell?
We are dealers of Miele and Neff, so achieve the best prices on these, however we can source from many other brands.
Do Seymour Kitchens manufacture fitted wardrobes and other bedroom furniture?
Yes, in our adjoining workshop, we can create beautiful bespoke fitted wardrobes, shelving and chest-of-drawers for bedrooms.
