As 2022 draws to a close, here at Seymour Kitchens, we’ve come together to determine our list of the 2023 kitchen trends.
For many, the kitchen is the most important room in the house. It’s where we gather, socialise, relax, dine and cook. The kitchen does a lot for us. And as it’s where we all spend so much of our time, having a great design is important.
With each new year comes exciting developments in design. Read on to discover what are predictions are. If any of the following ideas have inspired you to begin designing your kitchen with Seymour Kitchens, get in touch with us on 01483 573 989 or email seymour@seymour-partners.co.uk. With all of us becoming more aware of the climate and wanting to do our bit to look after our beautiful planet, our kitchens have also been adapting. From customers choosing products that are manufactured with durability and quality in mind, having specialised areas set aside for recycling bins for different materials, to using responsibly sourced materials within the kitchen design, sustainability will continue to be the heart of kitchen design in 2023.
Bringing the environment and nature into our homes has been one of the most prevalent trends in kitchen design for the last few years. It is therefore not a surprise that it is here to stay in 2023. We predict we’ll see a rise in organic colour palettes in kitchen design, with blues, greens and sandy colours being selected for cabinets, walls and feature kitchen islands.
Designing a unique kitchen which does not feel “off-the-shelf” is becoming more important in design. Mixing textures and materials offers up a great way to create something unique and effortlessly stylish. Contrast is king when it comes to combining textures and materials which will ensure each one has a role to play and makes a statement.
Continuing with the theme of having a bespoke design, going bold with a “pop” of colour in one area of the kitchen is a trend prediction for 2023. And there is no shortage of colour opportunities in the kitchen to add this “pop” of colour. From the cabinets, kitchen island, and tiling, to the splashback, appliances, and flooring, there are ample opportunities to let your personality shine through.
You may have heard “smart ovens”, “smart dishwashers” or “smart fridges” being mentioned in passing for a couple of years, but we predict that in 2023, this will finally be the year that they will hit off!
