We’re thrilled that the Great British Bake Off is finally back on our screens. As ever, we’re hooked from week one. Set in the iconic white tent within the beautiful countryside as a backdrop, the standard of amateur bakers this year seems extremely high and we’re excited to see their creations throughout the series.
As well as the bakes, we’ve been looking with our beady eyed at all their fancy kitchen gadgets in the tent. From what their using to mix their batters, to which oven and fridge/freezers are being shown on our TVs this year, we’ve compiled a list of these kitchen appliances.
The popularity of baking has on the increase since the various lockdowns gave many of us a little more time to get creative in the kitchen. So, if you want to get your hands on any of these gadgets, do call us for further advice – here at Seymour Kitchens, we work with most of these suppliers every day and know the ins and outs of their functions.
With a sliding door that elegantly slots below the oven, the Neff Slide&Hide oven is a familiar sight in the Bake Off kitchen. Allowing you to get extremely close to the food, it makes testing, basting and monitoring the bakes easier than ever. As well as being practical, they ooze style and grace. For this, as well as their reliability and quality, we use Neff products as standard with our kitchens.
Producing instant boiling water, the Quooker tap is sure to become your new best friend in the kitchen. Saving significant amount of time and effort, the popularity of these taps is ever increasing with our clients. Not only do they work wonders, unlike other kitchen appliances they are space-saving as you can ditch the kettle too.
Whilst it is too hard for us to determine which brand this retro fridge-freezer is in the 2021 Bake Off, we thought this blog would not be complete without mentioning this kitchen staple. Attractive in design, vintage fridge freezers act as statement piece which add style and perhaps a pop of colour to a kitchen. Ask us for more details regarding which models we would recommend.
For those take baking seriously, it is likely that you are going to want to get your hands on a mixer. Selected in pretty pastel colours for the Bake Off tent, but available in a range of bold colours too, the KitchenAid stand mixer is as attractive as it is effective. It can whip, whisk and knead and will look great in your kitchen too.
